Case Study 7 - IT Strategy & Implementation - ERP
Background
All business start small and with that comes a pragmatism based approach for IT implementations. Common constraints are cash to spend on hardware and licence costs together with other considerations such as physical space available. As a company grows, it's technology platform must evolve and support the business strategy. Our client had reached a critical stage in growth where the initial technology platform and solutions where now unsuitable to support the business and a review was necessary.
Approach
A Greig Ross specialist was engaged to conduct an IT due diligence exercise on all of the company's infrastructure. The encompassed internal platforms as well as email hosting, data providers, continuity plans and the overall management of the business processes and workflows.
The Result
Upon delivery, and acceptance of the document, the client invited us to return to implement the IT strategy recommended along with the due diligence exercise. Our specialist conducted vendor evaluation and selection of a suitable ERP provider and managed the implementation of the solution across the business. This has now replaced all of the legacy systems that were in place.
All customer communication is now managed centrally and administered by both internal and remote staff. Email hosting and continuity is now outsourced and a remote desktop support solution has been implemented to solve day-to-day issues.
